"I've been practicing yoga at Abhyasa for over ten years. I’ve attended yoga classes with many different teachers between the US and Ireland before finding a home at Abhyasa with Nicole, John, Orla and Margaret. Each of them brings their own personality and approach to their classes. They are all passionate about yoga and as they grow and evolve in their own practices, they share that knowledge through their teaching in class. Within the past year I began the strength training classes at Abhyasa. I couldn’t attend every week for the first two months; however, once I started going regularly, I was able to build strength incrementally every few weeks. After consistent attendance, I noticed visible changes to my body, most notably, I now have a more defined backside. LOL The weighted squats and deadlifts have made a significant difference. My wife has actually noticed. The classes are small enough that it’s like having a one-to-one personal trainer. The atmosphere is very encouraging, and Nicole and Margaret are always helpful with regular tips to maintain form and explain the use of any equipment. In addition to adding muscle mass and sleeping better, strength training has improved my yoga practice. My balance is better, and I can hold poses longer with greater ease.
