I first stepped onto a yoga mat in the late 1999 whilst living in the USA. This began an ever evolving (challenging, joyful & liberating in equal measures) journey towards physical, mental & emotional wellness and authenticity.
Over the last 15 years I have been influenced by various systems of yoga, Asthanga for the focus on the breath & dynamic flow and Iyengar for alignment & exploration of using props. More recently I have been discovering the pure release and joy that the practice of restorative yoga brings to both my body and mind. Alongside my practice of asana I endeavour to meditate daily, the effects of which really do bring us back to our true authentic nature.
I completed my 200 Hour Yoga Alliance Training with David Curtis of Vinyasa Yoga, Ireland in 2008. I went on to complete David's Level 2 Training in 2010 and continue to study with him when possible. I have attended teacher intensives/workshops with teachers such as Richard Freeman, Jason Crandell, Mark Lilly and Janet Stone. I'm currently in the process of completing a Relax & Renew Restorative Yoga Level 1 Certificate with Judith Lasater.
